Heterogeneous and Distributed Information Retrieval

News The Call for Papers of the Information Processing & Management special issue on Heterogeneous and Distributed Information Retrieval is available at this location.





SIGIR is the major international forum for the presentation of new research results and the demonstration of new systems and techniques in the broad field of information retrieval.

The SIGIR workshop on Heterogeneous and Distributed Information Retrieval focus on new methods and algorithms to efficiently and effectively access data distributed over large heterogeneous distributed systems. The workshop particularly encourages papers that address the creation and the search in distributed, dynamic information systems as well as papers presenting novel architectural solution for these systems.

Submissions:

Authors should submit full papers using the same guidelines as the main conference. Paper length must not exceed ten pages. More information on the format could be found at http://www.acm.org/sigs/pubs/proceed/template.html . Submissions should be e-mailed to Fabrizio Silvestri . All submissions will be referred by at least 3 members of the PC.
